Association DE-R (Documentary Emilia-Romagna) proposes, within the programming of the Bellaria Film Festival, an interactive seminar on the relationship between memory and the documentary genre. Today's reflection on the theme of memory is central to understanding and addressing the changes taking place in our contemporary world, where increasingly strong presents the risk of flattening dominant cultural models and the increasing temptations of historical revisionism. It therefore seems imperative the need to appreciate the historical and cultural transmission to future generations to provide a wealth of knowledge that knows how to relate and get rich by comparison with the past. The documentary itself as one of the best means to stimulate these discussions, both in relation to the general public and in education.
During the meeting, will be shown short clips from several documentaries, alternate for certain actions of the protagonists of the history of our region, directors, writers and historians. Among the guests present: Renato Romagnoli (name Battle of "Italian", a partisan of the Seventh GAP), Roberto Nanni (documentary), Luca Alessandrini (Director of the Parri Town of Bologna), Davide Ferrario and Alberto Castiglione (directors). The meeting will be conducted by Elisa Mereghetti and Danilo Caracciolo Association DE-R. Guests will be invited to exchange views on some central issues: the documentary as a means of protecting the cultural heritage of humanity, individual stories and storytelling in the documentary subjective copyright, the economic and social transformations in recent history of Emilia-Romagna; Resistance extended, from liberation struggle to new frontiers of social conflict, the unresolved past: the story of the massacre in Bologna one white.
The seminar will screen short documentaries drawn from the following: "Kunama Cunala Cubulà" and "The oasis of memory - fragments of Sahrawi culture" - Ethnos production; "Antonio Ruju. Life of a Sardinian anarchist " Roberto Nanni - Diaries from Sacher; " The way of Emilia Romagna "and " Ravenna images '900 ' Antonio and Marco Graziani Melega - Directory Istituto Luce; "Lame, the door of Memory" Danilo Caracciolo; "With the ideas and the courage we continue Peppino" Gregory Mascolo, the story of Peppino Impastato, "Danilo Dolci - Memory and utopia" by Alberto Castiglione; "A story dirty Sandra Cavallini, Riccardo Castagnola and Matteo De Simone, on the story of one white, made by students of the Liceo of Bologna Copernicus; " iltrentasette, memories of a wounded city, "Roberto Greek, on the Bologna train station massacre.
Association DE-R was founded with the aim of enhancing the landscape documentary Emilia-Romagna, varied and extremely vital in its composition eminently craft, but that requires an increase in services and support to expand its potential spread and distribution in the international arena. The objective of the Association is to promote new and therefore more opportunities to exchange ideas between writers and producers in the region, and encourage discussion of issues and projects related to the documentary and its ever-growing audience, in synergy with the existing industry associations in the field and national institutions mandated to support the cinema and culture.
